Did you know: A good laying queen can lay 1500-2000 eggs per day, that is 1 every 45 seconds! In the span of one season, this means 175,000-200,000 eggs per hive!

Did you know: A honey bee visits 50 to 100 flowers during a collection trip, and the average worker bee produces about 1/12th teaspoon of honey in her lifetime (~6 weeks). (Disclaimer, I know this is not actually a honey bee)  

Did you know: that a hive of honey bees (~20-60,000 workers) will collectively fly about 90,000 miles, equivalent to three orbits around the earth, to collect just 1 kg of honey?
